1971 Valiant VH Pacer
Keegan Rowe
Last Updated: 25/02/2008

I've owned the car since 2002 and a lot of work has gone in to it between now and then. It was originally purchased unregistered but soon after that was fixed. It got a paintjob in late 2003 / early 2004 and the original 265 hemi rebuilt at the same time. The 265 is running 9.5:1 CR, roller rockers, solid lifters, E38 style cam, 625 cfm AFB Carter, pacemaker extractors and a dual 2 1/4" exhaust with magnaflow straight through mufflers. In late 2005 I fitted the current wheels, the 17" American Racing Ansen Sprints. Not exactly period style but not modern either.

These days there is not much work left to do on the car so I just cruise around on the weekends and see the occasional track day at Collie and Wanneroo. For more information on the restoration of my pacer please see this website.

Back in October 2002 I co-created a website www.valiantpacers.com with Todd Grover (who owns a VH Pacer, also on this website) with the aim of trying to locate any VH Pacers that are out there, including information on ones that have been wrecked and written off etc. So far the site is a success with many cars having been tracked down. If you have any information about any VH Pacers, we are interested in talking to you. If you know anyone with a pacer, please let them know of our website.
